Sand Hollow SP Westside/Charlotte Flies Her Parents in for a Visit

Our Grandaughter Charlotte brought her parents to Sand Hollow SP Hurricane, Utah for a visit.  It’s was a short visit but a very enjoyable time we had together. Grandma Uhoh that she calls Michelle (Charlottes name for Michelle’s rooster call she has heard since the day she was born) has been gitty for weeks since hearing there might be an early visit.  So they had desert walks, looking for flowers, rocks, exploring the water line and watching a Nemo movie eating popcorn.

Here are a few pictures from our visit. In a week we will be in Park City visiting again for a month.

Historic Railway Trail/Grand Canyon Pictures

This Historic Railway Trail is a great hike or bike ride 10 miles round trip from the visitor center to the dam. It takes you through 5 very large tunnels they used to take the huge equipment and concrete mix to the dam from Boulder City.  Other pictures are from the visit to the Grand Canyon and the 1 1/2 mile hike we took into the canyon. On the way back up it reminded me of the pain in the legs I experienced in 1978 when we hiked to the bottom at Phantom Ranch and the Colorado River.
