Rock and Roll Xmas Eve and Christmas

It’s been quite the week. Bernard and Alice spent 3 days last weekend and we had a great time. Playing joker poker till wee hours in the morning. Also hiking on the lake paths.

The burros returned to our area and they love eating the palo verde trees, or maybe thats about all they have to pick from; They must have mouths of steel!

Last night on Christmas Eve, the winds came up and came up big-time and today they haven’t let up. I think the Cape Blanco winds caught up to us. It’s been a Rock and Roll Christmas. The RV has been rocking and rolling. Just look at the wind observations map, high winds here, practically nothing in Phoenix. Makes you wonder where the winds stop and end. The lake is a huge white cap!

Don’t take this wrong we are loving what nature sends our way, we still took our 3 mile walk.

Random shots from the month

I thought I would post a few pics from the last month.
I thought that I have been to Phoenix International Raceway, I was mistaken I have never been there. Even when we lived here for 25 years.

Then a few pictures of Palo Verde Nuclear Generating station where I spent a lifetime for 11 years. What memories of this place and the stories not very many get to know about!

That was Unit One of three.
Then this past week we had sunsets and a few moon rising evenings. The pictures miss the total beauty of these Arizona delights.

Calle and myself waiting for the full moon last night, damm clouds messed it up. Then the walk back to Huey was real interesting. There must have been 10 or 12 coyotes following us just 50 feet above on the road howling and crying. I sure wish I could put the recording on this blog. Calle was just a bit concerned as was Michelle and I.
